In Daphne Michaels’ debut book Light of Our Times, readers are treated to a rare collection of conversations held by Michaels with notable health and spirituality leaders including Ram Dass, Dr. Fred Alan Wolf, Donna Eden and Dr. Masaru Emoto. Drawn from her radio program The Vibrational Health Show, teacher, presenter and vibrational health expert Daphne Michaels offers these interviews to expand the reach of these extraordinary messages beyond her original broadcast audience of 2 million.
From the perspective of a spiritual skeptic with a conservative, Midwestern upbringing, Light of Our Times was significantly different than any other book I’ve read about health, healing and spirituality. In fact, this book was enough of a dramatic departure from such tomes that it spoke to me in a very personal way. Rather than reading each conversation as the chapter in a book, I read the book as if I were listening to the words on the radio. In this way, Michaels’ subjects did much more than offer their wisdom. They spoke to me personally on topics that touched my soul, awakening ideas in me on how to further expand my consciousness and to more clearly identify the path I am meant to take.
In addition to 18 expert interviews on topics including energy healing, homeopathy, and the gift of story, Michaels briefly introduces each chapter so that readers get a greater sense of her guests, their experiences and expertise. She concludes Light of Our Times with additional resources and reflections in which she shares her own suggestions for readers to take away with them on their own paths to enlightenment.
While Light of Our Times will naturally draw a specific audience to it, I recommend this book to anyone seeking a greater purpose for his life. The wisdom in the book is far reaching and offers guidance to anyone, regardless of her spiritual background or chosen path.
